We’ve seen a lot of gorgeous inspiration for christening outfits recently, so much so that we felt we needed to share them with you. The high street actually has some of the loveliest christening gowns around (I bought Tabitha and Marlow’s from John Lewis (very similar to number 14 below) back in 2010, and loved them. I just added cashmere cardigans with their initials embroidered on (from Chinti & Parler – sadly they no longer do childrenswear). I would definitely recommend this approach – head to the high street (unless you go for a family heirloom or a vintage gown), then add in some beautiful splurge-worthy cashmere – cardigan, hat, booties, blanket (or even all four!). This White Company gown was actually the inspiration for this post – one of the most beautiful we’ve seen (cotton lawn, lace, pin tucks, and even a little bag to store it in afterwards). Perfect. And how sweet is this for a baby boy option (if a boy in a dress isn’t your thing)?
