My Spring Wish List

It’s not so much a case of ‘out with the old, in with the new’, as much as a case of being ready to start daydreaming about Spring and what we want to buy and wear. So I’ve put together a little ‘wish list’ of things I have got my eye on (or more specifically, want). This first picture (above) pretty much sums up how I want to be dressing come Spring (faded stripes, denim and a tan sandal – the perfect effortless Summer uniform), and this striped shirt from Isabel Marant Étoile is one of my favourite things in my edit. In fact, mine is winging it’s way to me as I type this!! I am always drawn to blues, and I always love a stripe, but this shirt has also has gorgeous pirate-y balloon sleeves, is oversized, and made from a gauzy light cotton. I know I will live in it – great tucked in, out, or indeed half-tucked with jeans, denim cut-offs, khakis… My friend Kim already has it (it was already in my Matches shopping basket by then) and looked so cool wearing it, that it immediately confirmed that I really, really wanted it and had to have it.
Other things that made the edit include a red shoe (as inspired by Nicky’s Valentinos that I was initially dubious about, then loved); ruffles (more of those coming soon to Little Spree); a little leopard (always); my latest sandal purchase (the Ancient Greek pair); a relaxed trench (more of those coming too); a great alternative to the army jacket; and more of my favourite blue stripes…

ps: I’m a bit over dungarees if I’m honest, and ‘hung’ mine up a while ago now, but then I saw these (yes more blue stripes…) and sort of fell in love all over again. I will probably wear them on the school run, running errands, on shoots etc…

pps: if you like the Issy Dicker boots (easily one of my all-time best buys), but they’re out of your price range, these Gap ones are a great high street version. And whilst we’re still talking about Gap, I love these pyjamas bottoms (yes, I know!). I will size up and wear them as trousers in the Summer.

ppps: I know we’re all a bit over the sales now, but how cute is this button back sweater from M&S?
