Christmas feels like the perfect time for a bit of pampering, and I always think that self care products make great gifts as they’re not always something that you would treat yourself to. I hope I’ve covered everything from stocking fillers to the more extravagant ‘investment’ gifts.
These are a few of my favourite things that I use over and over, both personally and professionally.
ps: Bags of Ethics have launched Great British Designer wrapping bags. Sustainable and reusable gifting alternatives. Not necessarily beauty related, but gorgeous to put your beauty gifts in. My favourite are these Preen ones.
Nars Orgasm is universally flattering, making it so popular with us makeup artists. This trio includes the blush (I use this all the time in my kit), the lip balm, and the lip tint. So wearable for every day.
This Murad set is such a bargain at the moment. Everything you need for a full skincare routine – it’s truly innovative, and extremely active. I really love this brand.
Aromatherapy Associates is one of my favourite brands. Their Deep Relax bath oil really works. Its lovely scent fills the whole house, and even makes the kids sleep really well!
At £58.00 this is definitely a luxury, but I think it’s well worth the investment. The packaging is so gorgeous, and the product itself is beautiful. The Rouge Hermès lipsticks come in stunning colours, but personally I love the Rouge Orange.
Neom is such a lovely brand. They use lots of natural essential oils in their products, and their gorgeous candles are chemical free. They also do a wellbeing diffuser, which I love. I’ve found this to be great when the kids have a cold, as it humidifies the air as well as delivering a calming fragrance.
This Glow Kit is a great bargain, worth £157.00 if you bought all the items separately. It contains some of Liberty’s best beauty brands for glowing skin.
I talk about this MZ SKIN mask a lot. It’s pricey, but it actually does transform the skin. It’s a multi purpose device that uses different coloured light to tackle all sorts of skin conditions.
This is another device that I love. The Nu Face Mini Facial Toner (you can also get a full size version – it’s much more expensive, and I’ve tried both and don’t see a difference, unless you want to use some of the add-on tools). It’s a pain free and non-invasive micro current face lift. I’ve found this to be amazing on the jaw line, and does actually give you a lift. It advises doing it for five minutes a day, but I tend to do it for ten, in front of the telly.
I’m a big fan of rose quartz rollers – they have so many benefits, one of the main ones being that they’re incredible for illuminating toxins. There are lots on the market, but the Scillarose one is great quality and made from premium rose quartz.
Maya Njie is one of my favourite fragrances. All made in small batches in the perfumers’ London studio, these contemporary genderless fragrances are comforting and nostalgic.
This is more of a gift to yourself. I’ve noticed a real difference since taking these Rejuvenated skin supplements. They are vegan and contain really powerful skin restoring ingredients.
They also do these great hydration drinks. They work really well as a hangover cure, although I don’t think they’re really meant for that!!
I can’t live without this product in my kit. Chanel’s Baume Essential is a moisturising highlighting balm that gives a subtle ‘French girl glow’ to skin.
Ecooking Multi Oil can be used for many purposes – hair conditioning, massage, cuticles, and makeup removal. I love it as a body moisturiser (for the whole family) after a bath.
This Works pillow spray has always been a favourite in my family. It really does help with sleep.
This is a great duo – Chalrotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Push Up Eye Secrets makeup set. The mascara is great – really long lasting, and the liner is super-soft and easy to blend. Perfect for a smoky ‘going out’ eye.
One of my favourite reds, MAC’s Ruby Woo isn’t too orange or too blue, therefore suits nearly everyone. Smooth, creamy and long lasting – perfect for the Christmas festivities.
Patchology are quite new to me, but I’m loving this brand. Sheet masks make such a great stocking filler. I use them a lot on my clients before makeup as they’re a quick and easy way to add hydration and give the skin a lift. They also do great eye patches.
Aesop have done a lovely hand gel. It’s great as it doesn’t strip the natural oils in the skin, but combats bacteria and contagions. Beautiful packaging too!
Eve Lom’s cleansing balm has become iconic and for good reason. Award winning and created by an amazing facialist.
And currently on sale at Liberty!
