Summer Beauty 2022

Summer beauty for me is about beautiful, natural glowing skin, and perhaps the odd pop of colour. A healthy glow being key, it’s all about skin prep. No one really wants a full face of makeup in the heat. We just want our skin to look at its best. Here are some of my favourite products and tools to achieve the best summer-ready beauty…

A great and cheap way to prevent your hair getting damaged when on holiday. Apply Vita Coco Coconut Oil to your hair to protect it from the sun and chlorine in swimming pools. It’s also super nourishing and also works well as a moisturiser.

Body Blur by Vita Liberata has become a makeup artists favourite. It does exactly what it says, making skin look flawless. I use it a lot on clients legs for celebrity events as it doesn’t transfer on to clothes and creates a lovely sheen.

These tanning drops are so easy to use for face and body. Just add a couple of drops to moisturiser. The colour due to its green pigments neutralise any redness creating a great natural base.

To protect your skin from the inside out. Aime produce great supplements. Take these for a month before sun exposure and during. Each plant-based capsule is packed with clean ingredients, replenishing nutrients and tackling problematic skin, including rosacea and dermatitis. You’ll still need your sun screen though.

Admittedly a little pricey, Sisley sun screens are amazing.
I love this one as it also has a tint which evens out skin tone and means great looking skin without makeup. I use it all year round and a little goes a long way.

I always have one of these in my bag.
Burt’s Bees Watermelon Lip Balm. All natural and responsibly sourced ingredients, great to use on the kids and super nourishing.

One of my favourite lipstick brands, HIGHR Lipstick is the world’s first carbon neutral lipstick. By purchasing one, you are saving 5.8 lbs of carbon dioxide vs. any other lipstick on the market, and they’ve just launched this beautiful shade perfect for summer. They also have a handy mirror.

Vegan and cruelty-free, this is a great fake tan and easy to use too. Exfoliate and get the glow with the Jojo Body Mitt. Great to use before fake tan or just to cleanse and get rid of dryness.

This beautiful coral lipstick by Gucci is the perfect summer colour. The packaging is gorgeous too. This is a great travel set of Dreis Van Noten’s new fragrances. Love the packaging too.

The freshest of bases Les Beiges Water-Fresh Complexion Touch has a lightweight texture and keeps the skin hydrated all day. The blushers are also amazing with a similar formula.

Add warmth and luminosity with this cream bronzer hybrid. It’s great for subtlety contouring, without looking unnatural.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multipurpose Oil smells of summer. Great for holiday evenings to moisturise hair and skin after a day at the beach. I always have this in my kit as it gives a lovely sheen without being too oily. Amazing for dark spots caused by the sun, scaring and to help the skin fight pollution, this brightening serum by Peace Out is great. I also always have these in my kit in case of breakouts.

Great for the beach: Too Faced Waterproof Mascara.

111SKIN are one of my favourite brands for sheet masks. This set is a great deal.

I’m not usually a fan of powder bronzers, but Guerlain’s Terracotta range are so seamless and creamy. Always in my kit. I use this everyday and have noticed the difference.
