Curvy Style

I’m a mum to three grown up boys that all still live at home with my photographer husband and our Welsh terrier. This makes me think I’m either doing something very right or very wrong!
I’ve been a makeup artist for around 25 years, and met Sarah through work – we’ve travelled to many beautiful places together on photo shoots. I’m always inspired by her ability to mix styles together, and love how it all just seems to effortless. But cool as…
That’s pretty much how I like to dress. I’m a size 18, but don’t really follow any rules when it comes to dressing myself. I definitely air on the side of casual, but I always love a sequin, and leopard is my favourite neutral. I tend to  go for one piece that creates a whole outfit, so a jumpsuit or midi dress are my go-tos. Most of my clothes are from the high street, as it tends to offer a wider selection of sizes. I love to be comfortable, and don’t like to look too ‘done’. I’ll wear the same dress to work as to dinner, but I’ll  replace my Birkenstocks/trainers for a heel, a red lip and a statement earring. Im guess I like things that I can dress up or down, or add a jumper to if I’m feeling a bit chilly. During lockdown I’m redescovering lovely pjs and relaxed loungewear that I can wear with pretty tops. And I’m a huge fan of a ‘good sock’! Curvy girls can wear jeans – personally I like a cropped wide leg with a statement shoe, a bit of leopard, and a utility jacket. Also, great underwear for me is key to giving that extra confidence boost.
