Jumper | Needle & Thread
You might not be familiar with Needle & Thread, although I have featured pieces from them here on the blog, in particular their beautiful skirts and dresses, but you definitely need to be. To put it simply, if you love a bit of dreamy Valentino (and frankly, who doesn’t?), but know you will probably never, ever be able to afford to own anything, this is the label for you.
I first set eyes on this jumper last week (Thursday to be precise) at a press day, and it was love at first sight! Now you know how much I love ribbons, bows and ruffles?? And a chunky cable knit. And blue. So the idea of having all these gorgeous ingredients rounded up in one place was literally a dream come true. And I really loved the idea of wearing it with my jeans. And last night this particular dream did come true!! I wore the ‘dream jumper’ to a Needle & Thread dinner, and I absolutely love it (it’s as lovely to wear as it is to look at – so soft and cosy). And apparently it literally JUST hit their website, as it’s part of their just launched ‘pre-Spring’ collection. This is definitely a piece to love and treasure. And you don’t need me to tell you how perfect it would be for the festive season? It will probably have to be peeled off me come New Year’s Eve!!
Just as I was finishing up this post and getting ready to publish, I thought I’d just have a quick scope around for other ‘pretty’ knits, and guess what? I found so many amazing ones!! I’m definitely a lazy dresser, so anything that I can just wear with my jeans always gets a big thumbs-up from me. Loving this Toppers ruffle neck jumper, this lace trimmed slouchy v-neck, and although it’s minus the ribbon and ruffles this Mango jumper is the same perfect blue and a gorgeous chunk cable knit. How cool is this (oh dear, another one on my shopping list…)? This won’t be for everyone, but I kind of love it. This similar khaki version however… This Boden ruffle knit is great for layering under dungarees. And finally this Ganni jumper is THE BOMB (and now firmly on my Christmas Wish List (coming soon!).
ps: talking of dreams, surely this is the advent calendar of dreams??
pps: bought these the other day from Accessorize. Have been wearing one of the silver barrettes…
