Capsule Holiday Wardrobe 2022

Holiday wardrobes can obviously differ greatly depending on where you’re holidaying. We always go to Tuscany, so I have loosely based this edit on things that I pack and wear year in, year out when we’re there. We never go anywhere fancy, so I never, ever pack a pair of heels. Plus, even if we did, in my opinion it’s always far chic-er to wear a flat sandal with a maxi/mini dress for the evening on holiday/in hot countries. Heels and sand/cobbled streets are never a great combination. Anyway, our holidays are always super-low key, and all I need is a (little-ish) suitcase full of simple, stylish, and sometime pretty separates in my go-to palette of white, cream, khaki, blues, brown, and sometimes black. I could literally just pack one pair of sandals and that’s all I would need. As long as they’re flat and tan.
These two outfits (top) might symbolise a UK staycation vs a holiday in warmer climbs. But bar the parka, all of the pieces would work for both.
My most worn items are always cotton tops/blouses, dresses (of varying lengths), and denim shorts. I wear all of them for day and evening – effortless, easy-to-wear pieces are all I want to wear on holiday. But they can still be chic and stylish. And I never leave home with out a khaki jacket/shacket.

pps: this blouse is one of the best I’ve seen on the High Street. You have probably already seen it in a Sunday Style. I’ve been wearing mine with these jeans, which are such a great fit, and the perfect length if, like me, you’re not super-tall.

ppps: this is probably a bit jazzy for me these days, but if you sized up (slouchy sequins are always the chicest kind…) and wore it with flat sandals for the evening it would be so gorgeous! Giving me all the old school Chloé vibes…
